Tomorrow I am heading off to Massachusetts on the first leg of a trip that will include visits for friends in Boston, Bennington, and possibly Northampton. It'll be all on buses this time, unfortunately, as the train to Albany doesn't run in the beginning of the week. Here's a photo I took from the train at South Station in March:
I'm taking a break from packing up my stuff to post a couple more brick pictures. These ones seem quite ominous to me, and are of an enormous church on State Street.
Here's another small print I made recently (4"x6"; the hummingbird is 5"x7"). It's a "seacow" made for an alphabet
zine collaboration in my printmaking class. I printed an extra edition of 50 because it was made using a Gocco machine, an extremely convenient form of screen-printing.
Hello again, everyone! I've been quite busy with final projects and preparing for my foundation review, but here's a bit of art for you:
MECA recently switched up its common areas: the "living room" is now on the second floor, while the former first-floor common space currently remains empty. Here is a photo of the new student center, including the giant beanbag we affectionately call "the potato":
My grandmother just got a new dog, a springer spaniel puppy named Hugo. He took to me instantly, so I was declared his godmother. Here he is, my god-dog:
Bonus: When we took him for a walk, I saw about half a dozen robins... and a killdeer!
Though Portland has a great many beautiful brick buildings, there are of course many that are far more prosaic. This is one of them:
The weather today was absolutely fantastic! so it seems all of Portland took the opportunity to eat lunch outside, including this guy:
