We've spent most of the semester in my Graphic Design class working on one single piece (in a variety of different ways). That piece is an 8"x8" square containing the following text:

In my design class we were looking at Design Observer, which led me to this link... a get out the vote poster from 1968, designed by Herb Lubalin and reprinted this year by Urban Inks:
In my New Media class, Intro to Digital Imaging, we made "get out the vote" posters. I ended up making five different posters. For this one, I focused on the idea of change, since it's been such a buzzword in this election. I added the piggy bank (a stock image from the excellent stock.xchng) both as a play on the word "change" and as a reflection of the importance of the economy as an issue.
For my graphic design class we had to play with the letter A, in Helvetica. The first part of the assignment was to deconstruct and rearrange the letter using cut-outs and stenciling. Then we took a foam version and brought it around Portland to be photographed. Here's one of my photos:
