North Bennington Again

I'm busy packing, but I figured I had time for another quick update from my walk.  I took this picture standing beside the bridge from the previous shot:

A Walk Into North B

While the College is technically in Bennington, it's actually quite far from the town center.  There is a nice little Vermont town within walking distance, though -- North Bennington.  It's not even as big as Bennington itself, and is most notable for containing a great little deli, my bank, and Lake Paran (good for swimming, those few months of the year when swimming is possible). 
I walked there last weekend (the Jennings picture posted earlier was taken along the way), and got about as far as this:

That bridge spans a stream that is really more of a series of millponds; these lovely little rapids are the product of a waterfall just out of the photo.  At this point the sun was setting, so I turned around,  but it was great to get off-campus for a while.
