...I just like taking pictures. I recently had a critique in my photography class that really emphasized that I think more like a designer than like a photographer, whatever that means. Here's the picture that people DID like (though apparently I misinterpreted the assignment somewhat, because the color wasn't vital to the photo):
I took my new camera out for a test drive yesterday. I'm really pleased with it so far, though I'm really just at the tip of the iceberg as far as learning its features is concerned. Here's a photo I took, reduced considerably in size and edited in Photoshop (I played with the curves a bit to get that particular color effect):
A few weeks ago, the St. John's Bazaar comes to town, as it does every June. It's a weekend festival of the scary, quickly-assembled type. I haven't gone to it since I was quite young, but I did take some pictures of the ferris wheel this year:

It's also very well-maintained, but a bit of grunge sneaks in around the edges... and I do love to take pictures of things that look like they've been around a while. I won't have any new photos until I either borrow a camera or get a new battery, but here is a promise of things to come:

She's living at Regis College, though she's not a student there (her school rents space from them). The campus is very impressive and godly and whatever, though the dorm she's living in is terrible. Here's some caution tape, just because I love that stuff.
Some of my friends have really cool, arty final projects. I don't (probably because I don't have an art class), but I wanted to do something fun anyway. Here's the idea: as part of its prettification process, the college got a bunch of new shiny trash cans. They have really big sideways openings, which always remind me of mouths. Clearly, there was something missing. These are the two trash cans in front of Commons, upon completion of the canthropological study:
